Tar ICE
This ICE is called tar ICE in game. It's named after the substance tar, that you can get stuck in.
This ICE represents a password that has to be guessed by trying all possibilities (brute force). Every hacker contributes password attempts.
Minigame​
Tar ICE has no mini-game. It just takes a fixed number of seconds to hack this ICE, this is done automatically, the hacker does not need to do anything.
If more hackers join, then they each contribute, reducing the time it takes to hack this ICE.
ICE strength​
The strength of the ICE determines how long it takes to be hacked.

High strength Tar ICE is not meant to be hacked like other ICE. It is meant to block players from hacking it in a normal way. This encourages finding routes round this ICE, or using skills or scripts to overcome it.
Multiplayer​
Having multiple hackers contribute to hacking a single Tar ICE can be crucial to hacking it before a tripwire time resets the site.
